SHIKADA SANGYO Commits to Decarbonizing Our Global Supply Chain

We are proud to announce that SHIKADA SANGYO has joined DHL Express’s “GoGreen Plus” service for our international shipments. This partnership is a vital step in aligning our export logistics with our core mission of environmental responsibility.

By investing in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) through ” GoGreen Plus” we are reducing the CO2e emissions associated with our deliveries and minimizing our environmental footprint. We believe it is our responsibility to take the right actions for the planet, and we sincerely hope to create a positive impact for our customers as well.

SHIKADA SANGYO provides bamboo materials—a naturally sustainable and renewable resource. By utilizing the service in which DHL uses SAF , we are extending our commitment beyond the product itself to ensure that the transport of our Japanese craftsmanship contributes to reducing Scope 3 emissions.

This initiative allows architects and designers who choose our products to make their own supply chains more sustainable and accelerate the global shift toward decarbonization.

We believe that true sustainability encompasses every step of the supply chain.

Italian Villa Project in Florence: Impressed by the Beautiful Local Installation of “Texture 480”

We are delighted to share wonderful installation photos from a villa project in Florence, Italy, provided by our excellent local sales representative based in Milan.

For this project, our natural bamboo material, “Texture 480,” was supplied in a roll format and processed and installed entirely on-site by a local fabricator.

The precise width adjustment to match the vivid red window frames and door, and the beautiful, seamless finish as a roller screen, is completely on par with—or perhaps even exceeds—the quality of what we produce in Japan. We were truly astonished by the high level of local craftsmanship.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the local fabricator who achieved this beautiful finish, and to the client who chose our product for their magnificent project.

Above all, we pay renewed respect and appreciation to our local sales representative for providing us with this fantastic opportunity and these stunning images.

The Custom Solution:

The key feature of this installation is the clever addition of custom balances (valances) on both the front and back of the screen. This specialized option was requested to completely conceal the roll-up mechanism from all viewing angles. Whether the screen is up or down, the rolling part is hidden, ensuring a clean, uninterrupted aesthetic.
